Frequently Asked Questions about EMDR & Online Therapy
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a research-backed therapy that helps people heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. Instead of only talking about a memory, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—like eye movements, tapping, or sound—to help the brain process and “unstick” difficult memories. Research shows EMDR can reduce the emotional charge of past events and help people feel calmer and more present. I am certified in EMDR and provide this therapy online to adults across California.
